Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus area of Advanced Drug Delivery
Multiple PhD studentships available for fall 2022. Applicants with a strong research background who will have completed an undergraduate or master’s degree at the time of enrollment are eligible. A background in pharmacy, pharmacology, veterinary medicine, biomedical sciences, biology, chemistry, chemical and biomedical engineering, materials-related engineering disciplines is required.
As a graduate student in the Interdisciplinary Studies PhD program, you will be joining a research group that is nationally and internationally recognized for its translational focus in drug delivery. Your training will be in a highly collegial, collaborative atmosphere that brings together a broad range of scientific disciplines-including custom synthesis of advanced functional excipients, dosage form design, pharmacology and preclinical development-providing the resources for horizontal innovation to overcome obstacles in drug development that lead to the valley of death across the preclinical and clinical divide.
